K&C Steel-Fiber Reinforced Concrete Calculator

⚠️ Important Disclaimer

This calculator implements an improved calibration method for the K&C (Karagozian & Case) Concrete Damage Model specifically for Steel-Fiber Reinforced Concrete (SFRC).

Based on: Lee S, Park GK, Cho JY, Han BC. An improved calibration method of the K&C model for modeling steel-fiber reinforced concrete. Composite Structures. 2021;273:114010. doi:10.1016/j.compstruct.2021.114010

Valid Ranges: f'c = 20-130 MPa, Vf = 1-2%, hooked-end and straight steel fibers tested with various aspect ratios (l/d).

Note: This calibration provides better agreement with SFRC test data for both static and dynamic loading conditions. Results should be validated against experimental data for critical applications.

This method modifies the K&C model's strength surfaces and damage function calibration to account for steel fiber reinforcement effects on compressive and tensile behavior, including dynamic increase factors for both compression and tension.
